Red is this season's hot colour for home interiors

Red is wonderful colour for the autumn / winter season it makes everything seem cosy - It's the ultimate comfort colour. Right now it's appearing everywhere from the fashion catwalks to interior design: fabrics, paint and furniture. The shades of red for this season are not the rich heavier tones but a slightly lighter take on red.

American fashion designer Dianne von Fustenburg is launching her first collection of furnishing fabrics this season and red is a feature colour. Similarly, Liberty Art Fabrics - has recently launched their Heritage collectionn and Nestfield fabric and paint collections - both feature rich reds.

This palette is perfect for cosy sitting rooms, dining rooms and studies.

Designer paint colour trends for 2015

Two hot interior designer paint colour trends for 2015:

Trend 1: The palest of pastels but grounded by darker mid-toned shades, offering an introspective and quiet palette which is perfect for airy bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms. This palette is comprised of colours from the #Mr&MrsSmith - At Home paint collection: Ontario forms a base for the ethereal Miami Deco and Parisian Grey, with Parrot Cay providing a deeper ground for accents.

Trend 2: Richer colours will also be in abundance in 2015.
